+JMJ+ Good evening men, please join us on Tuesday for our weekly Men’s Rosary followed by our book discussion on chapters 1 to 3 of Kennedy Hall’s book:
St. Joseph, the Terror of Demons (Reclaiming Traditional Catholic Masculinity). 

Please note that for the duration of this book study, we’re using the meeting room in the Cathedral rectory. 

See below updated reading & discussion plan:

Tuesday, March 3: Discussion on Chapters 1–3
Review and discuss the previous week’s readings.
Themes: The reality of the devil, rejecting effeminacy and discipline + mastery of the passions.

Tuesday, March 10: Discussion on Chapters 4–6
Reflect on lessons from the prior readings.
Themes: Humility before God, guarding the senses, prudence in media and purity of heart.

Tuesday, March 17: Discussion on Chapters 7–9
Continue group reflection on previous chapters.
Themes: Building the domestic church, fatherly leadership, courage and perseverance in faith.

Tuesday, March 24: Discussion on Chapters 10, Conclusion & Epilogue
Share insights from the recent readings.
Themes: St. Joseph as protector and model, hope through his intercession & renewal of masculine holiness!

This book is a must read for all men! 

  • Are you a man of virtue?
  • Do you have the courage to live your Catholic faith all day, everyday or just on Sundays?
  • Are you doing what is necessary to be the best husband to your wife and father to your Children?
  • If not, then this book is the challenge to man up and do better!

We all have root sins and ingrained vices that are keeping us from becoming the Holy and Saintly men that God intends us to be. Kennedy Hall’s book not only outlines these realities, but also includes strategies and tactics to overcome them. 

This book will make you look at yourself and contemplate whether or not you are living your life the way you should be as a true Catholic man and a Soldier for Christ!
